The Global Economic Crisis: Causes and Devastating Consequences
In all major regions of the world, the economic recession is deep-seated, resulting in mass unemployment, the collapse of state social programs and the impoverishment of millions of people. Stocks Dump To End Best Month Since January

Good news (Chicago PMI) was very bad news and sent stocks into freefall early on. Hedgers then appeared to lift their protection (sending VIX lower) and igniting a surge back to the highs in stocks, tagging the stops, and then stocks slumped to end October (among the best month in the year for most indices) with a 2-day losing streak (the first in over 3 weeks) but EU stocks outperformed. Stocks had been ignoring the "taper-on" trends in Bonds (7Y TSY +5bps on week), USD (+1.3% on week), and precious metals (-2% on the week), but into the close, volume picked up and equities tumbled. Silver and Gold were monkey-hammered lower (ending Oct +1% and-0.3% respectively). FX markets saw USD bid aggressively (though CAD strengthened against the greenback). Credit remains considerably less enthusiastic than stocks. An ugly close for stocks…

What exactly were stocks thinking… (blue line (green arrow craziness)

The month of October – EU stocks win, WTI crude loses, gold and silver revert to unch…

Trannies had their 2nd best month in 2 years…

Today's equity market action seemed very mechanical…

As VIX protection was sold early (and underlying risk unwound into the rally)…

Credit markets are decidedly uncomfortable…

30 Essential Poses To Make Yoga A Part Of Your Life

Over the month of October, Tara Carpino and Christina Dizon teamed up with Collective Evolution once again to release another series of yoga videos designed to challenge and invite us all to incorporate yoga into our lives. Much like their previous 7-Day Challenge the October video series featured the release of one pose a day for 30 days, challenging viewers to simply take 5 minutes out of each day to practice yoga. The benefits: improved health, flexibility, relaxation and an overall connection to and understanding of your body.

With all of the videos now released, we at Collective Evolution invite you to embark on this 30 Day Challenge on your own schedule. Go through each of the videos at your own pace. If you ever find yourself particularly challenged with a pose, stick with it for more than a day, the same goes if you ever feel like taking it a step further, simply combine several of the videos into a full-length one day routine.

All of the videos within the 30 Day Challenge are available for free via YouTube on both Christina and Tara’s personal yoga channels. I’ve shared the video for Day 1 below to help in both finding the video series and to give you all an opportunity to sample the challenge and decide whether or not it is something you would like to commit to.

Please be sure to share either of the challenges with your friends and social networks, and show your support for the efforts of Tara and Christina by subscribing to their YouTube channels. Tara: Radiant Flows / Christina: Empowware

More information about both Tara and Christina is also made available below the video. Enjoy the challenge!

There’s a new development in the Senate Expense Scandal.
Conservative Party senators continue to push today for the suspension of Senators Mike Duffy, Patrick Brazeau and Pamela Wallin.
But Conservative Senator Yonah Martin tabled a notice of motion which would allow them to retain access to health and life insurance benefits.
However the motion would still suspend the three without pay or access to Senate resources.
The three senators have maintained they followed the rules.
Meanwhile if the Supreme Court rejects the Harper government’s senate reform plans the federal minister responsible for democratic reform says the next best thing would be abolition.
Speaking in Calgary, Pierre Poilievre said the federal government is waiting for the high court to decide on how the Senate can be reformed, or dissolved.
